Provides Silicon
Contains 0.5% Monosilicic Acid that helps provide strength and flexibility to plants

Plants absorb silicon only in one form – monosilicic acid. The potassium silicate molecule does not automatically absorb into the plant. It is broken down by micro-organisms in the soil to the monosilicic form before absorption by the roots. Mikro M.D. contains the bioavailable form of silicon that is expensive to make and stabilize.
Easiest analogy between the two is ingesting something through one’s mouth as food that is then broken down into sugars like glucose, fructose, amino acids etc compared to taking a shot of vitamins or amino-acids. One works much faster compared to the other and is also more expensive, but used in less quantity.
Yes, Mikro M.D. does contain urea (CO(CH2)2) but it is being used for a very specific purpose. Urea molecules have an unique property to form lattice like structures (clathrate) that allow them to trap or contain other molecules in their center. This property allows use to use the urea molecules to pack-in mono-silicic acid molecules along with all the other additives in Mikro M.D.
Mikro M.D. not only contains monosilicic acid but also has multiple other items (micronutrients, plant extracts) added to give you a well-rounded product. To ensure the silicicic molecules are adequately separated within the formulation, a lot of surfactants are added. These items tend to foam up when agitated or aerated.
A simple trick to keep the product manageable is to either dilute out Mikro M.D. the night before use (add to half the water quantity and let the foam settle) or add a de-foamer to help reduce the surface tension of the liquid in the tank allowing for easy mixing with little to no foaming.
Yes! The nitrogen in the ingredient list should not stop you from using Mikro M.D. during bloom. Ideally you increase the rate of use to 1mL/gallon as a root drench during the first two weeks of flower to allow hardening of flowers and reduction in inter-node spacing.
Reduce the rate by 1/2 in last 2 weeks and completely STOP during flushing.
Yes but if done in a specific fashion. Add Mikro M.D. to water and dilute it out before you apply Dirt M.D. to the same tank. Do not store solution, use immediately. Never mix concentrate solutions.
Mikro M.D. is formulated to be used in a multiple fashion of ways. Monosilicic acid and the chelated micronutrients present are plant available through foliage and their roots so it is more to user preference.
Our recommendation is a mixture of both foliar and root drench alternating between weeks.
If running a hydroponic setup, a root drench is the most economical option with the rates being extremely low so always consider that 🙂
